I don't like going to dentists, but after this incident I don't like them more!

It happened to me two and a half years ago. I had a bad teeth on my lower jaw #6 and it had to be pulled out. The dentist gave me a local anesthesia and it started the pull out. Well, it simple didn't want to go out! She was pulling it sideways, upwards, it wouldn't move. I started feeling pain and she gave me another anesthesia. To cut the long story: I was sitting on the dentist chair 1 hour and 45 minutes. I was all soaked in my own sweat, and the dentist was too. The tooth didn't want to go out so she had to break it piece by piece, and finally she removed the root too. It was kinda like a hook which was not making it easier for a pull out. And it took five anesthesias, which really made my day!

My dentist kept changing his assistant. Every time I had my 6 month check up there was a new one. The last time I went to him I had to have a filling, and the new assistant was a bit too preoccupied with something else and kept forgetting to 'suck' up the 'drool' from the back of my mouth, with that sucking thing they use! I literally felt like I was going to drown. A friend also commented that she was a bit rubbish at her job when he went! The dentist retired soon after, and to be honest I'm glad I had to change, because his 'bedside' manner was something to be desired!
Sorry for the long winded explanation! : )

Went to emergency dentist with a cosmic sized toothache. He pulled the offending chomper but broke it into several pieces during the extraction.
He left a large piece of the root embedded in my gum and has refused to finish the job without extra pay.
I say that he owes me enough money to hire a _competent_ dentist to finish what he could not.

I had a 70 year old dentist with a shaky hand and was stuck seeing him for about 8 years cause he was the only dentist in town. He always scratched my gums. I seriously hated that guy.

It wasn't the dentist himself but his students that did our pasta.wahhh...they like dig a hole through my teeth that made me feel weak and it hurts so much that I wanted to jump out of the chair. It hurts so much. They did it to 4 of my teeth so the experience is the worst for me.

I went to get all of my wisdom teeth out, and I asked to be knocked out for the procedure, I woke up about halfway through, and shortly after that the pain meds wore off, so I got to experience the joy that is having a tooth dug out of your skull without anesthesia

I got 11...count 'em 11 shots of novacaine...including one in the roof of my mouth (and trust me, I felt it)...I was numb for 2 days, I couldn't eat. My heart was pounding from all the epinephrine...I was 16 or so...it was terrible. My folks sued for malpractice. I now have to take valium to go to the dentist...I am terrified.

when i was ten i neede a tooth out, i didn't know i was having a tooth out till i got there.
The dentist took me to the room and told me to sit in the chair.
He then tried to put the dreaded gas mask on me, i can still remember the smell.
I started crying hysterically and i was asking him to stop. i was scared.
My dad was sitting outside the room and he listened to me crying for a couple of minutes before he knew he had to intervene, i was his little girl after all.
He burst through the door and i was in the chair gagging and screaming and the dentist had his knee on my chest trying to put the mask on me.
He didn't even stop when my dad told him to get off me, so my dad belted him!

i still hate dentists to this day.

Having teeth drilled without novacaine, with the old drills that weren't high powered. RRrrrrrrr. Also gagging when they put the spit sucker in, and the way it feels when they blast air into the newly dug hole to get the moisture out before filling it.
