does that help you at all get a job. and does that make a difference in salary?

There are studies showing both - that it helps and that it hurts. It's still not really clear.

On the one hand, having attending some college means that you at least gained the knowledge that goes with those classes that you took.

On the other hand, it means that you either couldn't or wouldn't finish a degree program and it may be assumed that you "failed out" or partied too much. If you're still a student then this isn't the assumption.

If you can turn the credit that you did earn into some credential (undergraduate certificate or associates degree) it will present better on your application.

Some college is better than none, end of the story. If you have a degree, it can make a huge difference in salary (but that depends on the field you are working in). Some jobs even require you to have a degree before you can even apply for a job.

Yes, some is better than none.

But it is best to be enrolled seeking a degree--even if it is just one class.

You generally don't see a difference in salary until you have the sheepskin.
