The amount of money that you get from SSD depends on what you made when you were working. The amount of SSI is to supplement what you don't get from SSD. I don't know if you receive food stamps but you might what to apply and if you have children and you're head of house they might be eligalbe for assistance from your state's pa program. Belive me these things help. But as for SSD and SSI that's a preset formula depending one wether or not you worked and if you did how much you made and paid into the System. IF you never worked than you get only the bare mimum which is about 650.00 a month.

If you can still use a computer pretty good I would look for some part time employment or maybe even full time if you can work at home. If you do not have a lot of work history then ss will never give you a whole lot. Search the web for something you can do. Definitely something you are going to have to look into if you need more income.

ok - you're getting SSDI & SSI and are you working too?
where do you live and just how much a month are you getting? If you are getting more than $623/mo total, be happy.

If you register with the Dept. of Rehabilitation, they will help you find employment that takes into consideration your disability. You can also apply for Section 8 rent assistance and food stamps.

Sorry, but that is the way it is. Be thankful you are on SSDI and SSI and not just SSI.

Do you mean $70.00 or $700.00. Disability, I'm sorry to say is never enough to live off of.

Be thankful you are getting something. It will never be enough unfortunately. Nothing you can do about it.
