Not sure, but I hope women don't change their minds and go 'natural' again.

Probably as swimsuit bottoms got smaller, it seemed like a good idea. This made "bikini cuts" or a think strip of hair a popular thing and probably generated some interest in seeing the whole thing without hair.

It's only become a big thing in the last 10 to 20 years.
