Where did you hear something as silly as that? It would depend on whether or not the company is union, and the rules the company sets for workers even if they are not union. Most companies these days set the entire plant as a no smoking area. Most public buildings are smoke free.
So, to answer your question, generally no. Most employers will give a lunch break and perhaps 2 breaks during the shift. You may or may not be able to smoke on those breaks, depending on company policy.

More and more employers are opting to forbid smoking on company property at any time. Some are even going so far as to penalize smokers by making them pay a larger share of their health insurance premiums, even if the employee only smokes at home. That's the wave of the future; I suggest you quit now!

No. However, your company policy may allow some flexibility. Ours, for example, allows you to go for smoking breaks out of your lunch hour entitlement. ie 5 lots of 6 minute smoking breaks equals half an hour off your lunch hour, or come in earlier, or leave later etc.

Certainly in the United Kingdom there's no legal requirement for companies to give any extra time to smokers, they can smoke during their break outside if they wish.

No. Not unless the non smokers are allowed the same time for any activity they want to do or are paid extra fro working through these breaks.

Nope. People who smoke are dumb, and if you are dumb you need to work longer than a person who is smart so there is no way you employer can let you have 6 minutes off an hour to work. The only thing smokers are entitled to is lung cancer, enjoy!

Depends on their employer, at the office I used to work at we took our smoke breaks (one in the morning anf one in the afternoon) while the non smokers chose to sit around gossiping for 2-3 hours a days saying that was their non-smoke breaks. Us smokers actually worked more than our non smoking counterparts

Not anywhere I have worked. Smoking is only allowed on regular breaks and lunch outside. Companies regulate policies of any sort.

There is no law in the US that states that employer must give their smoking employees a smoke break. Smoke on your lunch break. Sorry.

No. Smoking in public buildings is against the law & there is nothing in law to state that your employer must give you time off to smoke. You must do this in your own time at normal tea/dinner breaks.
Sorry
