I have Donovan McNabb, who cant run but may be getting LJ back and is going up against a weak pass defense in (my) Minnesota Vikings.

I also have "Gunslinging again" Brett Favre. He is coming off a bye and playing on Monday night, although it will be against Denver. Denver will have both Dre Bly and Champ Bailey playing.

I think that since my Vikings are involved my heart is invading my decision making. Our D can chase down a slow McNabb and may end up scoring with the D.

Now GB cant run and Denver will stack against the pass with a great secondary. I can see Brett trying to force it anyway and throwing more picks than TD's. But then again they are coming off a bye and Im sure they have tried to reel Brett back in all week.

Donovan may just concentrate on short timing pass plays and utilize LJ and Westbrook. The weakness of the Vikings is the 5-11 yard quick pass and then YAC. Whats your take on this? PLEASE SUPPLY COMPLETE ANSWER WITH EXPLANATION. NOT JUST ONE NAME!

Brett Favre is having an overall better season. McNabb has been struggling even against weaker pass defenses. Start Favre

Start Favre. He is money on monday night football. The Broncos couldn't stop me if I was the packs RB, the pack will definitely be able to run the ball. If you watched the colts-denver game a few weeks ago you noticed that while the broncos have good corners, there LB's are terrible in pass coverage. Ian Gold got torched by Dallas Clark all game. If Favre can get those matchups, he should be able to get a few points. I am starting him in my league.
Donovan on the other hand is finished. He has zero mobility. It's not the all out speed that he is missing, it's the mobility within the pocket. The giants sacked him about a dozen times. He will get the ball to westbrook, but the vikes front seven ought to be able to take care of that. Adrian Peterson (how excited are you about that guy??!!) will also make it very tough for the eagles D to get off the field and give McNabb a chance.

I'd take McNabb. He does get hurt a lot, but when he is on target he can rack up offense about as well as any quarterback.

I was going to originally pick Favre with as good as he has been playing this year, but I think Denver has a better defense against the pass than the Vikings.

Look at the stats of both teams. The Eagles have the 8th best offense and 14th best in passing. The Vikings defense ranks 26th.

Greenbay has the 11th ranked offense and is playing the 20th best defense in Denver. But Greenbay does have the 2nd best offense in passing. However due to Denver's type of defense with their good secondary, that should limit the passing game.

McNabb is due to get on fire. And I know you are a Vikings fan, but the Vikings haven't looked impressive at all this year.
