I downloaded avg spyware protection and scanned my system in safe mode. I quarantined "purity scan" ( a high risk spyware) and all the other spyware threats found in my system, but it just comes back. please help!

That is a tough one to kill.

How to remove Outerinfo pop-ups "Self Help", (aka as PurityScan - OIN - ad.oinadserver.com):

Scroll down to the article, do NOT use any advertised program at the top of the page.

Good luck.

Purity Scan most likely put a Trojan or worm in your system. There is a lot of false spy ware out there. I reported spy schreader to "Stop Scam", and they helped me a lot. If they put a worm in your system, your up a creek. Take your computer to a shop and have it striped. Norton has a system that scans over 1,000,000 types of spy ware, it blocks the take over of your computer by others. It's one of the best programs out there. Their 2007 program really works well, don't know if they have an updated program for 2008. Contact "Stop Scam" and give them your complant, see if they can help. Once I reported my problem to them, I had no more troble from Spy schreader. And I didn't have to do anything but mak the report. Good luck, hope this helps.

XoftspySE will detect and remove over 99% of known spyware and it runs a scan VERY fast! This program is rated a "best buy" by PC World magazine and Xoftspy does NOT advertise with them. I use it religiously and never have had a spyware problem.

You can try this Spyware doctor software..It works great but it might slow your computer and Browsing too!!So once after installing this software you can remove your spyware (or) Disable this software and then manually check for spyware weekly once after updating the definition files!!

If you ran a scan and that didn't work, you could always try re-formatting the whole computer.
