You cannot really say how many games they will lose. What bothers me though is this: The Pats are a great team! I'll given them that! But I think that the Colts are just as good! Both of these teams have improved. But the area in which the Colts have improved on is defense! The statistics of the Colts defense last season was misleading. People failed to realize that when they where giving up alot of rushing yards, their starters where injured in the secondary. This year however, the youger guys like Hayden, and Jackson have really stepped up their game! And Bob Sanders is Bob sanders! He has always been good! The Colts have always had speed! But this year, the speed on defense has increased! Freddy Keiaho is also a difference maker! And he always played well against the Pats. When the Colts crushed the Patriots 41 - 20 2 years ago, Keiaho was part of the reason that the defense played so well! He is outstanding against the run! In my opinion, the Colts lost alot of starters to free agency on defense YES! Thats true. But the guys that are in there now are actually better! I don't think Brady will throw as much against the Colts. Unless of course he wants to throw to the guys with horseshoes on their helmets! I say the Colts will win this game. They are playing at home and they are on a mission.

If they get past Indy, the next possiblity would be Pittsburgh Dec. 9. New England will have the division wrapped up in the next couple weeks, (as the rest of the division only has 3 wins total) so they will start sitting players towards the end of the year. The Giants game the final week of the season is a GUARANTEED loss unless they are still undefeated. They will play nobody, and NY will probably have to have that game. I don't think they will lose 3 games, though.

How do you know they will lose exactly 3 and against who?
But I agree that they won't go undefeated.
If the Colts don't beat them, they would need a couple of victories to clinch home field advantage. More important than the records is to have ready for the playoffs the injured and semi-injured starters and play conservative just to keep them in rythm without risking them to unnecesary injuries.
So they are more likely to lose against Baltimore or Pittsburgh, who would be competing for a playoff spot and need to give their best.

As a Pats fan, I am most anxious about these games in order:
1. Indy on 11/4 (for obvious reasons, it'll be a big game, I can't wait)
2. Giants on 12/29 (more so than Pittsburgh because of the Giants D-line looks pretty darn good lately)
3. Pittsburgh, on 12/9 (still a very, very good team)

the Pats will have the east div wrapped up by week eleven, so they can rest starters for the playoffs. The Giant defense has showed some signs of life and it is quite possible the Giants will need the win in game 16 to win the NFC east. So the Giants will be motivated and the game will have no meaning to the Pats who will have wrapped up home field weeks before.

I can see them losing more than 3, especially if any of the Brady Bunch gets hurt. The Fats don't have much depth.
BTW: to Dave, The Steelers can't win on the road? Were you in a coma two years ago when they swept the best in the AFC & won the Super Bowl ?------ALL on the road!!!

They'll lose a game (if they lose one) to a team that they should beat. I see them losing to Buffalo or Pittsburgh. They have the talent to go undefeated but I think they may get tired when they have the #1 seed locked up (hell they'll have a playoff spot locked up in 3 weeks)

they'll finish with two or maybe three losses. They will lose to Indy next week. They might lose to pittsburgh just because the colder it gets the better chance the steelers have. also the pats D is soft and steelers may just push them around. They will most likely lose to the giants because they will be locked into the two seed and won't have anything to play for.

3 is a long shot. Not only because the Patriots are good, but also due to their schedule. They have 3 games left from divisional oppenents, three games left from nfc opponents then Indy, Pittsburg and Baltimore.
I dont see the Patriots loosing to Indy. I think it is certainly a big motivation for Indy that they dont get any respect, but the Patriots are coming into Indy still pretty motivated from last season and the Patriots are a better team.
Baltimore blows.
Pittsburg cant win on the road.
Im not saying they would go undefeated I dont think that is likely, but I doubt they will lose more than 1 or two and it will probably be to some stupid team that they should man handle.
