I've seen forums where the most respected users are given the ability to "moderate" the forum and give the ban-hammer to people who violate the terms of use or post rediculous, sometimes flagrant, nonsense for the hell of it. How many questions on the first page of the football section, on average, do you think would be deleted for Y!A violations if moderators were allowed to lay down an iron fist?

Before you say "oh this one should, because it has nothing to do with football", it has something to do with the section I am posting in. I am asking how many questions/users would be deleted from the football section. Not many other sections have immature idiots like Austin N or Commish posting nonsense throughout the day. So please, save the comments about how big of an idiot I am. For the most part, I contribute to this section in a positive, constructive, and intelligent way. Just answer the question being asked, or skip to the next question.

jene.......: And that's the flaw of the system. I say something like that, where Austin N and Commish post rediculous crap throughout the day. To Y!A, they are following the rules, asking questions and answering the questions of others. To everyone else, they pollute this Y!A section. But then, people like me call them immature idiots, not an opinion really, the proof is in their responses, and I will get a warning. There needs to be some way around what they do. Unfortunately, it can't be enforced.

I'd say 3 on average

a lot of the time....they are just repeat OPINION questions that can't really be deleted

I would think the green dot questions for example could be deleted
and all of the Commish/Real McCoy could get deleted
along with Austin's stuff

but a lot of the questions are just annoying....not really against the rules

I'm 100% with you on your point though

update - a mod could also move all of the Fantasy Football questions into the right section
along with all of the questions about how to run faster
or how to get stronger

I guess it all depends on how active Commish is... If he, (and his other nicknames - bodog, beans, etc.) are having a busy day, then probably 50% of the page is filled with his useless garbage.... But on average, most people have good questions. They might have been asked 500 times before, but not everyone knows that..

Austin N has a tendancy to spread his stench on to all the questions, but he's easily ignored.... The second you see Austin N on anything, you can guarantee on giving him a thumbs down..

But like I said, without those two on here ruining it for everyone else, I would say less than 5%.

I'm with the guy who has Joe Pa on his avatar - all of the questions from Austin, as well as anything from the pathetic Commish and his many aliases could and should be deleted.

There's a lot of other chafe, but I think it would be overstepping the mods' powers to ban all of the repeat questions, as well as the many pointless, stupid comments that are made here on a regular basis.

Thankfully, there are some intelligent posters here who make up for those at the opposite end of the spectrum.

Austin N would likely be gone. The Commish would be gone. The Green dot crap would be gone. For the most part though things would stay as they are.

You are violating the Community Guidelines by calling other users immature idiots. Your question would be deleted straightaway. If you get a violation notice, it won't be because of me, but the people you are insulting are entitled to report you.

There is a lot of garbage on here and it irritates me some, but I don't let it ruin my day.
