Occasionally when I take a shower- the liner blows around "attacking" me. Why?? The door is always closed and the windo is not open. And it doesn't occur all the time.

I would like to stop it if I can- cause how irritating is it to try and take a shower while having plastic suctioning to your wet body!

Because the shower curtain hates you..

nah.. just kiddin'..

It's a scientific phenomenon. When you turn on the shower, the water jet pushes the air and makes it move. Moving air has lower pressure than still air (air without movement). So, the air outside your shower curtain has higher pressure than the air inside the shower curtain. So, the higher pressure air pushes into the lower pressure air, and pushes the curtain inside - towards you. Also, if the water is warm, it makes it worse. Because warm air is lower in pressure than cooler air. Air inside the shower is warmer (because of the warm water from the shower) than the air outside the shower. So, that makes the air outside push the shower curtain inside, towards you.

If the shower is on low, and the water is cool, it won't happen. If the shower is on high (at full blast), and the water is warm, it will happen. Try it.

It was answered already but yep its the air moving due to the heat of the water pushing the air around. Many if the liners now have either magnets on the corners or something to hold them in place so they don't do that, or at least minimize it

Because moving air, of which there is more and faster on your side of the shower curtain than the other side, has a lower air pressure. The higher air pressure on the other side of the shower curtain pushes the shower curtain toward you.

It's the Bernoulli Principle.

The force of the shower creates a bit of a vacuum. Buy a heavier curtain or one that has magnets embedded into the bottom corners.

It has to do with the change in pressure. I don't think there's anything you can do to stop it.
