I don't see a difference. Isn't the lover merely the action and the love the substance? Once can not be without the other any more than the kill can separate from the killer.
If you meant loved or lover then both are really only the pursuit of pleasure.

Neither... both have the potential to be nasty. Like being a love for murder, a lover of sick and twisted stuff... although, love sounds more appealing because it is experienced by so many people in so many different ways... a lover is just one of those persons.

Its always so mo\uch nicer to give than to receive - especially in loving . . . so much more gratifying and satisfying . . . and, ironically, the better you become at giving, the more rewarding the receiving too! Thus: I prefer being the lover to being loved, yet I've found, when you give love unconditionally, you usually receive quite a lot of loving back in return . . .!
