Because that is the only question that begets a subjective answer. All others are objective, with concrete, observable answers.
Who? a specific person or group
What? a specific thing
Where? a specific place
When? a specific time or date
How? a specific method
Why? a subjective opinion that may differ from someone else's opinion.

I agree with the above answerer, that all other questions are specific, where why is more subjective.
In consulting, we are told to ask the 5 whys to get to the bottom of the real answer of "why". Why often leads to an answer that you can ask "why" to again. It takes a long time to get to the bottom of it.

Sometimes we just dont know why we do something. We just did it without knowing any reason. So the answer is because sometimes we dont have any reasons to do things so we cant really answer the why question

Why mommy? Sometimes our children ask the questions that we just don't have the answers for.
Why did my friend die? Sometimes there are no answers.
Why did he leave me? Sometimes it's just better that we don't know the answers.

Because other questions can be answered in one word. But why (and how) require expaination.

it is because it tells them what is happened or why it happened like if you have too kids and their dad killed him self they are going to ask why and if you say it it will kill them in side and you don't want to reveal some thinks
