A Fever is an immune response which is the bodies ways of creating conditions that are not optimal for the invading bacteria or virus. Thus is allows the other components of the immune system to do their job.

fever creates a too-warm environment that can possibly kill off some of the invading germs and give the body a better shot at using it's own immunity to restore health.....
