I have a lot of onesided cramping (not painful, but more annoying then anything) and alot of gas! I had a prenatal on monday with a heartbeat of 140 and I felt him/her move yesterday. I had gone on a walking tour and had to sit down every 5 minutes or so because I felt very faint and dehydrated, Is all this normal for being so early in pregnancy? Is it normal to still be cramping?

Thanks so much for any advice/help.

drink fluids (dehydration can cause cramping) call your doctor if only to reassure yourself> YOU know what is normal and not normal pain....if you have to set down every 5 minutes something is wrong . Go to your doctor,,, best advice i can give you :)
Of course it is normal to experience changes, your body is changingand adapting for the new precious life in you, but these may be signs of something else and if you stress over them it is not good for you or the baby . get checked :)

Cramping and gas are normal things in a pregnancy. The cramps are probably because your body is starting to make room for baby. A lot of things are going to shift around in there and stretch out to make room for the baby to grow. It is very annoying indeed to experience these things, and it gets worse as you get bigger. If however, you start to bleed anytime soon with these cramps, call the doctor ASAP because you could be miscarrying. You probably aren't by the sounds of things, but that is a reality for many women. Just be aware of what is happening to your body, and if it doesn't "feel right" it probably isn't. Good luck and congratulations on the pregnancy.

P.S. Kudos on the walking tour. Very good for you and the baby. Stay healthy!

You should worry if you do not feel the baby move and it has been longer than 24 hours. Do not try to do to much! If you do not feel the baby move within 24 hours or you start to bleed you need to go to the ER or call the Doctor. Right now you need rest and plenty of fluids. You probably done more than your body wanted. If you are worried call the Doctor and let them know about the cramps, they might have you come in to do a heart beat again. It was probably just caused from doing to much. Drink Drink Drink, and Rest, you will probably feel better after that.

Each person is different. I am about 18 weeks and still feel like I could throw up all the time but don't. I have odd pains here and there that go away. I am sleepy, etc. Just take care of yourself and get plenty of rest.

Don't worry this is quite normal when the baby first starts to move it will pass. But don't hesitate to go to your doctor if it lasts longer than a week.

I actually am feeling the exact same way...the doctor says everything is ok with the baby...I would check with your doctor b/c like a few people have said everyone is different....Just make sure you eat, drink and rest plenty...congrats.
