I have two dogs, one 10 pounds and one 25 pounds, and three cats who weigh 5, 10 and 14 pounds respectively. It's much cheaper to buy a box for the dogs and a box for the cats, rather than buy five individual vials to match each weight. Should I get the higher weight and put less on the smaller animals, or the lowest weight and put more on the bigger ones, or just shell out the $75???

no, you can't put the same one on 2 different sized dogs, the dosages are way different, and if you do, you could risk poisioning them

I work at a cat shelter and we have ALWAYS used the Large Dog Advantage and split it. It is WAY cheaper and saves us a ton each year!! It is the SAME concentration no matter what kind you get, there is just more in the bigger tubes.
There is 4.0ml in a large dog tube. We use .4ml for cats under 9lbs, and .8ml for cats over 9lbs.
If you know the dosage for the 25 pound dog, you are all set!!

And Advantage is very safe. We had a old woman come in and she had been putting her dogs tube (LARGE dog tube) on her cat monthly for 6 months. The cat was fine. No fleas either!!!!!

You can split the larger between the animals. Just make sure you are giving enough. Also, ask your vet, they should be happy to tell you how to do it to make it more cost effective.

use less for each pet, but make sure not to give each pet too much or it could get too overweight.

No. Definitely do not. It can, and will put way too much chemicals on your dogs skin and may hurt him/her or possibly worse.
