I have soot in my house, roof damage from the high winds, and a smoke odor in my house from the fires in San Diego. The insurance adjustor is coming tomorrow (Saturday). I am getting quotes for fixing the roof, window cleaning, power washing the outside of the house, cleaning of carpets/upholstered furniture, dry cleaning curtains/bedding. What am I forgetting? I want to make sure that the insurance company compensates us for everything that I have thought of and everything that I haven't thought of. Help would be appreciated ASAP. I want to be prepared for the adjustor.

Good luck, just like the water damaged homes in New Orleans, I can only say "Good Lock" for sure, there not going to give things away. They didn't build up to be as big as they are doing this,

The adjuster will think of things you don't even know. I have always found them very helpful and friendly. The other answerer is whining because they refused to cover things not included in the policy. Duh.
