No. More taxes gives people less money to spend. The Congress loves to throw money at problems and does not try to solve the problem. Peace

No, it will always do the opposite. Here's why---
Capitalism creates new wealth, and distributes it according to merit. Socialism confiscates existing wealth through taxes, and redistributes it according to "need."
Taxes drain much needed capital from the private sector which otherwise would be used to create new jobs. When Bush cut taxes, many new jobs and companies were created. Though they all paid a lower percent in taxes, there were more payers, and that's why Federal revenue skyrocketed while the economy thrived. Plus, people had a personal incentive to work harder.
Higher taxes will lead directly to the economy we suffered during the Carter administration. (A socialist's paradise.)
Here's Dr. Walter E. Williams' suggested reading list for us economics students: http://www.gmu.edu/departments/economics/wew/links.html
Ciao. Now, let's go forth and proper, and don't let the government drag us down into dependent servitude.

It depends on which country you're talking about and which "economical problems" you're talking about.
If you're talking about the budget deficit in the United States, then taxes must be raised or spending must be drastically cut, or both. There's not much else you can do there. If you're spending more money than you're taking in, either you need to take in more money or spend less money or both.
Continuing to mortgage the country to foreign investors isn't a good idea. Eventually we're going to have to pay that debt.
The IRS collects taxes. If a "tax cut" results in the IRS taking in more money, then it was actually a tax increase, no matter what it may have been called by politicians.

The government would be far better off not spending so much money on stupid stuff, like a Woodstalk Museum and the Charley Rangle School of Politics.
If you elect democrats this time around, you can expect more years of raising taxes AND higher spending.

As we have seen, tax cuts actually increase revenue to the IRS. Now the Dems want to raise taxes in an unprecedented tax increase. Well if tax cuts increase tax revenue can you guess what a tax hike will do to it? We don't need to raise taxes we need to cut spending. Why do dems want to give away their hard earned money to the government?
