My husband just had our DSL shut off and I still need to be able to get on the net! How can I get dial-up this is something that he always took care of, but I do know that several times he would just hook the phone cord in and make a phon call or something!!! I need to do it w/o credit card so if y'all want to help me out give me some numbers or something LOL thnx :)

hey u can get one of those things that only lets u be on internet so much a day.i sent u an email about it but u didnt reply back............but with the question, its ur home too so u can chose to have internet or not.

Dial up is a pain. Besides you would have to download a new program onto your computer for it. If that was your last resort, load a prepaid credit card to use for the charges to do it. Then you could get AOL at any computer store. Otherwise, telly your husband to reconnect dsl, otherwise you are going on "strike" if you know what I mean. lol I'll wish you luck.

It's gonna be more trouble for you than it's worth. Why all the sneaking around?
If you're really that hard up for an internet connection, go to your local kinkos, and use one of the rental computers. You can load up a card with cash at the kinkos, and the computers cost 25 cents/minute. If you bring your own laptop, it's only 10 cents/minute.

this is not good. i think there is something else going on here that your not telling .go to the library asap and tell us whats going on.
this type of controlling behavior is sometimes a precursor to more dangerous sometimes even violent actions.
if your husband has been surfing for 6 years and now suddenly pulls the plug because you want to tag along ,then i think that you should become somewhat cautious about his motives.go to a safe computer and e-mail,my address is on my profile .good luck and godspeed,your friend
