'53 and '54 came with a straight six only then the '55s came either way V8 or straight six . The cool thing was that the V8 cars had a big gold V that fit over the little v on the " Corvette" emblem on the side, this indicated the presence of a 265 v8 under the hood.
Instead of making a new emblem or another emblem they simply made the big V that fit over the existing emblem.

Never a V6, but 1953-54 had an inline 6 cyl. 235 CID with multiple carburetion. OHV V8 quickly replaced the 6 cyl engine.

NO! Buick began the domestic v-6 way back in the early '60,s. My '63 "special" came stock with an all iron 198 c.i. odd-fire v-6 with a 2-spd auto trans with an odd shift arrangement; P,N,D,L,R: on the column. The tranny was fully air cooled-no fluid to the radiator. That year was well into an all aluminum light-weight v-8 project(215ci.-200hp.) solely developed by Buick. All that engine tooling was sold to British Land Rover in '64. What remained ,in Buicks hands, was the v-6 that powered they're (and many other G.M.'s) cars well into the '90's. The absolute heyday of Buick's v-6 was realized in the 800+hp.Indy 500 races of the late '80,s. Buick Grand National stock cars where derived and competed based upon these principles well into the '90,s.

As others have said, NO. Never a V 6. The first few years they came with a straight 6 called the Blue Flame.
Pedro is totally correct with his answer.

No. The first '53 & '54came with a straight six, but it's been V8s only from then on. As an alternative fuel, Chevrolet is currently developing a diahhrea powered Corvette. It comes with matching "Corvette suit" with a moon-shaped tube attachement that connects your rectum to the seat so you can refuel during your drive, much like the airforce does with their tanker planes.
