The Wizard of Oz is good for entertainment of watching a movie. The Wiz is good for laugh.

The Wiz is way better it doesn't put me to sleep like The Wizard of Oz plus it has more soul into it

Even though they are based on the same thing, they really are two different movies. The Wiz is far more a musical than The Wizard of Oz. It really depends on the individual's perspective, and which one you grew up watching!

i saw the Wiz in the theaters when i was very young, but I enjoyed it a lot more than the Wizard of Oz.
I havent seen it in a long time so I dont know if it holds up.
