Yesterday I spent 15 minutes finding my choir folder, set it down to put on my coat and went to choir. I got there and asked my daughter where my folder was - it was still on the kitchen table!!!

(Unfortunately, I don't think this is a function of age with me!)

Have mercy, yes! Yesterday, I unplugged my cell phone to take with me to work, got there and no phone, I left it on the coffee table and had to run home to get it. I need the phone because I take care of a handicapped person and there is no home phone to use. in case of an emergency I have been going with my friend to the doctors appointments, we can never get our act together. I print out the direction's and we leave them somewhere in the house, or we take the map and have forgotten the address and phone number. Another good one, is I was going to the pharmacy to fill a prescription, my friend asked to to fill hers as well and gave me the script. When I got tot he pharmacy, she gave me the doctors receipt and NOT the prescription.
She got dressed in a hurry for a really early doctors appointment that was pretty far away. She forgot her panties, which normally would not be a problem but this time they wanted to to undress to her bra and panties. I had to inform the nurse that she forgot her underwear and could she wear her jeans, the answer was a prompt "no". Then the nurse informed her that she should always have an emergency pair of "grannie panties" in her car.

Yes,
CRS....can't remember sh..
brain farts
oldsheimer's
I have: walked into a room and forgot why
walked around looking for my glasses that are on my head
put my coffee mug on the top of my car to open the door, then drove off with it still there!
That was kinda amazing because it stayed put for the mile I drove. The person in the car next to me at the light was trying to tell me but I didn't catch on before the light changed
lol

Forgetful memory is a result of a past lifestyle. You need to accomodate by writing everything on a notepad and following it.

i.e. int his case you would have a checklist of the things you need to take with you to choir . . . oh, don't forget hot honey tea.

IF this were not so true, it would be funny. .I am having real problems with words...I have (had ) a big vocabulary, and yet at the keyboard, I spend 5 minutes looking for the word I was going to use, give up, have to retype the entire sentence to use another word..then, 2 hours later, I remember the word I was looking for.

Yes, I do things like that too. I'm bad about starting through the house to do something, then get distracted by something else. By the time I do about a dozen different things, I totally forget what I originally wanted to do.
