I'm using Excell 2002 (office XP pro) and I need to find a formula to express the difference between two cells and show this as a + or - percentage. Anyone have any suggestions

If two cells are 'A1' and 'B1' then in 'C1' '=(A1-B1)/B1', then format cell as percent. (dont type in the ' marks)

If the two cells are A1 and B1, and you want to know what the percentage difference is from the value in A1, then you need to divide by A1, not B1.

So, into C1, you put: =(A1-B1)/A1
and then you format as a percentage.
