You accept that he's forgetful and the two of you come up with ways to help him remember such as a day planner, sticky notes in conspicuous locations, make use of the calendar/reminder feature on his cellphone and/or email program, etc.
There are many ways to remind forgetful people of things they need to do or events they need to remember. ☺

If he does forget things very easily it might be a medical problem like having Alzheimer's.
On the other hand if it is not the above, he might be using it as an excuse to abstain from any responsibility.
It is hard to say, you need to investigate this yourself which is true.

Write him little notes and put them in his coat pocket, jeans pocket, etc. Program things into his phone. Set an alarm to go off fifteen minutes after he leaves the office that says, "Don't forget to go to the store!" It will also make him think of you throughout the day.

some people are just like that. You just need to deal with it, and at the same time you need to help him remember things too.

typical male, I bet if his mates tell him something he does not forget, wives tend to do that to most guys, guys just treat their spouses like s***, it is about time males worldwise looked up and respected their partners, he only forgets what he wants too

Maybe this is a sign of depression and it's clogging his focus. I had this and once I started taking Zoloft , it cleared my mind big time.
