it sounds like people are walking down the hall to come into my office but no one is coming, it has been going on for like 15 mintues and only 4 people are in the building...how creepy is that? Should I investigate?

Go and investigate. If it continues find out the history of the site where your building is now. kinda creepy but it is possible.
