It's really very complicated in India and there are no straight forward and clear categories. All the contingencies which you mentioned work at random or in a tedious combinations and permutations that an outsider would be actually baffled. The reality is known to only a few insiders.Yes,values are changing in India and it may take some time for recognizable patterns to emerge..

In the first place, young people (girls and boys) want to have a good education and many people go to university. Afterwards everybody wants to work and earn some money and live a little bit and build up a career... and why shouldn’t young people enjoy when they are young? Go out and travel.
I am very glad; nowadays young people do not have to live like my parents. Married much too soon and afterwards moaning all their life, because they couldn’t study enough and my mom had to give up her career (blaming my dad for getting her pregnant immediately), my dad moaning, because he didn’t have a decent holiday for ages and now he is too old to enjoy what he wanted to do (because of the costs of the family...)
No, young people have to enjoy first and turn into adults before they get married and think about family life.
And of course, nowadays women want more from life that being just a housewife for the rest of her days…
And guys are more selective also, they want a pretty, intelligent girl with studies, who earns their own good money and knows something about the world…
So, with these expectative people get married when they are older, wiser and mature.
And that’s absolutely okay!

I am going for (g). A man needs a decent income to support a family. Contrary to what our pundits say, jobs with decent incomes are actually shrinking in comparison to the ever increasing number of job seekers. Men are finding a good job, if at all, at a higher age and hence postponing their marriages till such times.
Women on the other hand have changed their outlook radically. They no longer want to be simply housewives. They want to earn and become self sufficient in their own right. Thus they are continuing their higher education to a more advanced age than before and are willing to marry only after they are settled in a good job.
A few American Wise Asses have tried to exhibit their superiority through their answers and have only succeeded in exhibiting their immense stupidity. The question is on Yahoo! Answers India and it is their problem as to how it shows up on their screen. All the same, they can prefer not to answer rather than showing such awful stupidity.

I will go for g-nowadays nobody has time for one another.Everyone are busy in their jobs,to earn more money & to achieve a status or position. So i think nowadays people dont think of marrying & they want to remain single & there are some people who wants to marry later,i mean for such people job is the first priority & marrying n having children their 2nd priority.

deepak chopra is so awakening to the 5th dimension reality and yet the bulk of his people are living in the matrix 3rd dimension. it's no such thing as girls earning more than boys and vice versa. from what i have seen we have alot of doctors in both categories. to marry someone without loving them must be a punishment itself. they are lost and don't even know it.....

I think that as India is more and more Influenced by West, we are becoming more a copy of them and naturally divorces are becoming more, more relationships, etc . So late marriages are also a import from the WEST!
