I have been fine...until these two questions!

What is the language feature used in the expression 'give it his best shot' ?

and

Identify the language feature used in the expressions "rugby team of 2005 tamed a pride of Lions (rugby team)' and 'stalking tiger' (referring to Tiger Woods) ?

Both sentences use metaphor. The first encourages someone to do his best, but refers to archery or rifle shooting in "best shot."

The second sentence compares a rugby team to a group of wild lions when the writer says they were "tamed", and he also compares Tiger Woods to the jungle cat in a metaphor.

There consonance in the first sentence with the repeated 't' sounds. Also sibilance with the repeated 's' sounds.

In the second there is alliteration with "team", "2005", "tamed", "tiger"
