I have changed my opinions on some things because of arguments and facts presented on here. I am open minded to new ideas, but it's hard to listen to someone when they are constantly bashing you. So, I'll only take a few people here seriously, and the rest I chalk up to kids on a computer typing what their mommy and daddy say.

I find the majority of people in this section to be narrow minded or worse, close minded. I find many to be rude, have no facts but rather replace them with opinions which they claim to be facts. I find that most people are very hateful and have no interest in having an honest discussion because once you open your mind to other peoples ideas there is a possibility that you might see that you were wrong and God forbid you be wrong. I also find that a lot of people assign false motives to people of the other politcal party/ideology. Some do this intentionally as a means of undermining the opposition while others are what is known as a useful idiot or lemming and really dont know the truth but what they have been force fed by their masters.

I do my best to be open minded. I'm a more moderate Democrat these days, but have gotten targeted as an evil leftie commie on more than one occassion for stating basic information that is easily verifiable (and often comes with citation). People on this site sometimes believe what they want to believe. There isn't much of an actual debate on here. I just find it relaxing after a long day or amusing while I'm waiting for an appointment to show up.

Sure, I can listen to both sides of a political argument. But I am also an adult and don't base my judgments of an issue on an emotional basis.
But nobody deserves to be blocked and not be able to express their opinions. I think I have blocked one or two people, but that was because instead of being able to discuss an issue rationally, they became belligerent and abusive, threatening me like a child throwing a temper tantrum.

a person with any kind of intelligence will always listen to both sides of an issue. after all, who is truly one-sided? I'm conservative about some issues and liberal about some. most issues are skewed to begin when represented by someone(s) with an agenda behind them. just my opinion.

I'm guilty for being rude. But I'm also willing to listen to an opposing view ,as long as it is presented in a maner that is not spiteful and pretentious.

I always want to hear both sides. The problem is most do not and most never give facts to support what they are asking. Peace

I rarely see viable arguments from both sides. Usually I see one side calling the question asker names.

Yes, I listen to both sides continuously, but I still reserve my right to throw-up after a Liberal gets done with their "side".
I have only blocked 2 people, and that is because they each have gone back into my old questions, and reported them. Yahoo will delete anything, before investigating, and if they ever do that, it comes later, and you never get your points, or your question back, even if you didn't violate TOS.
Blocking these 2 people has prevented them from stalking me, and making me lose points because they didn't like my questions. Yes, they were both Liberals.

Sure, as long as the question doesn't start with something like " Stupid libs " " or all libs are turds " Or anything with a Rush Limbaugh mentality. People do not respond well to being called stupid.
