It's a problem that exists in most cultures.
There is a conflict between what you are and who you are being told you are. The pressure is everywhere to be 'something better' than what you are in order to attain 'happiness'. This forces a habit of searching an inquiring as to what that 'something better' is. Meanwhile, what you are, your body/brain, naturally existing intelligence, have no use for this pursuit and a conflict is created. The 'goals' that society has imposed are unrealistic and unnecessary for living and your body knows that. It has a natural equilibrium that it works to maintain constantly but it is constantly bombarded by the imagined 'stress' created by this demand to be the 'something better' that society is pressuring you to be.
It's one big trick that you don't have to buy into.

You sound like a good candidate for eventually becoming a posthuman! What is a posthuman? Well, we all know that the human body is responsible for the great majority of our health problems. (Intelligently designed my ***!) Hopefully in another few decades though, assuming the rate of technological advance continues to accelerate, we may eventually be able to "go virtual", uploading our minds into mobile quantum computers where we would then be free to think and experience life unhindered by physical constraints. It would also have the benefit of eliminating disease, the aging process, and most other forms of that pesky thing called dying. From there you could also "upgrade" your mind with faster thinking speeds, more memory, greater neuronal connectivity allowing for much deeper thinking, etc. And, without a physical body to burden you, you'd then be free to leave Earth and join the migration into space: Earth orbit, the moon, Mars, or beyond.
There are actually scientists working in the required fields to develop the necessary technology in quantum computing and nanotechnology. It's hard to say when such technology may be available for us to evolve beyond our biological forms, but I'm really hoping it's sometime in our lifetimes!
The links below are some more information. The first is a book about some of the radical advances in biotechnology already in the pipeline. The second is a website all about mind uploading, the third is a serious book about using technology to transcend our biological forms, and the fourth is a Wiki article on what exactly a posthuman is. Enjoy, and hope to see you out there!

There is a way to transend your being. It's a place you can find in your consciousness, above the feeling of emotions and chatter of the mind. It's still and peaceful there, but it takes practice and commitment. many of our problems come from emotional responses to life which affect the body and mind, especially their chemistry. Healthy people, especially older ones have a stillness and peace about them. They've found it to different degrees. Go and seek it out.

Yes all the time.....But this body is the only one you will ever know, so treat it with respect...Welcome to the world of personhood.
But each day is a new dawn, and for every to there is a fro..... Mood swings are normal and part of being human.Your only limits are your mind.

Yes....until I stopped rating myself on anything to do with image or external influences. If you turn inwards and learn to like yourself all those feelings fade. One day you will be free regardless of how you feel.....until then you might as well hang around to see how things turn out! :-)

You gave me such a happy laughter.... I can't stop..... I'm still laughing......
ok.... ok...... really....... your right....... things really suck after pubirty. I wish that things would have stayed the same. Of course I didn't know that then and I'm like way old now..... but, now that I look back, ****, I wish for those days that hormones didn't exist. I'd still have my club house and stuff.
But (for you!) it's all is good, you know it, you understand it, and you know it sucks. But there are some good things that go along with it (I'm still trying to find out the truth) but yeah you got a good grip on being a "real woman". Welcome to "womanhood"! ha ha ha ha ha ha you are one of us now ha ha ha ha lol we'll be here if you need us. ha ha ha hah

Don't do it even if you could (unless there's a chance to return). You would die for a body if you didn't have one, you never appreciate it until it's gone.
