Car in question is 1990 Honda Civic. What would I experience if the distributor was going bad?

It just got a tune-up, new fuel and air filters, and O2 sensor. The car misses, mostly in lower (2nd, 3rd gears) and is more prevelent after it warms up. I first noticed a problem (out of the blue) when I turned right in 2nd gear and, after letting off the clutch and pressing the gas, there was no response and the car stalled. The car was cold then, however. I originally discounted it as I misworked the clutch, but it happened 2 more times that night. Fortunately, I was able to get it home by keeping the engine reved and shifting with my foot a little heavy on the gas pedal.

Depending on what part of the distributor is bad, there are a number of symptoms. If you can describe your symptoms, someone can diagnose for you.
