Somebody like Georoge Soros should recruit 50,000 or so itinerant people who could move in to a state or congressional district with the idea of swinging the election toward the progressive candidate. Would there be a way to keep this secret? For all I know he is already doing this. I hope so. It would need to be done with a very low profile to avoid retaliation by the other side.

50,000 votes could make the difference in many house races and in quite a few close senate races.

Henry: It's true that 2008 is looking like a democratic year. But it would be good to increase the Senate majority to well over 60 senators. My estimate is that the democrats will have right around 60 senators taking office in 2009. Another senator or two could help on close votes. The House will continue to be a problem. I think 10,000 votes could make a difference in many house districts, or a few anyway. Let's divide that 50,000 brigade into 5 10,000 units. Then dispatch them to five republican districts that are trending democrat.

I rather doubt George Soros or anyone else is doing that or would even attempt to do that. The logistics would be a nightmare and it would probably be pretty noticable that certain areas are getting a large influx of people without any new business or factory or something for them to work in. Most itenerants don't vote as they don't stay in a place long enough to be registered and establish a permanent address.

I am amazed at the percieved power of Mr. Soros. Some people must think he is some sort of powerful god or something.

When progressives win by landslides next year I can just hear the conservatives whining that Soros did just what you are suggesting. But it won't be necessary for him to move anyone around as there are enough votes for a Democratic landslide without such moves.

I would never follow George Soros anywhere.

I actually am a smart voter because I get my information from a variety of sources including internet, radio, television, newspaper, and by researching the candidates as well as their records and postion statements.

You people shoot yourselves in the foot at every turn.

BUSH IS THE ONE IN BED WITH IMMIGRANTS. The legal ones would vote Republican since this administration has turned its back on enforcing immigration laws, and accordingly has allowed friends, associates, family members, neighbors - everyone an immigrant already living here - may know or have ever known - to help them come into the country illegally.

bush needs them here for Big Business. Old news.

I support any effort to get people to vote. Whether they're on my side or the other.
