Sure you can. You just need to search for a Socket A processor.

You could get a sempron but it has lesser performance. Also you may just think about upgrading the motherboard as then you could just get a newer processor and RAM. But Good Luck HTH.

Also people are telling you that you can search for an athlon xp. Well you need to make sure its a socket A cpu. They made athlon xp's in socket A and socket 754. Also Socket 462 is a socket A they are the same thing just different names. Again, Good Luck HTH.

Hard to tell if someone is selling crap on ebay, go with an online retailer so you are somewhat assured satifaction.

You may still be able to find an AMD XP cpu on the open market by looking in computer repair shops. But if you can't, try looking on E-bay.
