You do it by turning your question into a direct request.

I agree with the others who are basically telling you the same thing. One thing you need to realize is that you have to be very direct when communicating to men, or they just don't get it. Most women avoid doing that because they feel they are being too rude. Trust me --- its not rude.

Allow me to play this out for you...

YOU BEING NICE --- I appreciate the fact that you still care about me and the effort you put into your letters, but it really isn't necessary.

WHAT HE HEARS --- She digs what I'm doing, and it means a lot to her.

YOU BEING DIRECT --- I want you to back off and stop writing me letters!

WHAT HE HEARS --- Hmm, I think she wants me to back off and stop writing letters.

tell your former husband to back off. it's making you feel angry every time he sends you letters.

If he's sending the letters via mail, don't open them and write return to the sender on them. He'll get the message. If he emailing you, block his email address. But as a lot of the others said, I would simply tell him to stop contacting me.

You need to tell him to stop sending letters or making phone calls. Put this is writing and keep a copy. If this keeps up, you should get a restraining order as he is harassing you.

Good Luck!

Tell him to leave you alone and every time he sends a letter, just put delivery refused, return to sender on it without opening it and stick it back into the mail box.

Get your solicitor to do it, this could be seen as a form of harrassment.
