What about grandads.? As we are retired and at home we are more available,,, Can you pick the kids up from school today? Grandad, can you take me and my friend to the pictures? Hallo Dad, do you think you could drop Emma down the town for me? Jack has got detention and will miss the school bus, could you collect him for us? And so on.... But I love doing it... Its what grandads are for isn't it.....

Hey, don't you remember what it was like being a child?

If you couldn't go anywhere you'd get terribly bored. Maybe put your kids to work for their keep (and their petrol money) I'm not talking chimneys but some sort of help about the house.

EDIT: It's spelt MAM in the north east (of Engerland) (flipping americans! think their way is always right, grrr)

It's just the way we are.

I didn't really like the idea of walking in the dark, and neither did my mum. Public transport left a lot to be desired.

The second I passed my driving test, I left my mum alone.

Just stick it out!
