I'm not adverse to a verse, but what's worse
Is I may be a poet and not know it.
I could go on forever
pretend to be clever
Because all that I say
at any time of day
Seems to rhyme so well
I'm sure you can tell
But I think you'll agree
It ain't poetry- not really- not much- keep in touch!

" A note by rote",
(That's you I quote,)
The ideas not entirely remote.
Now, to chime in a rhyme
I may find the time,
Though it won't be anything really sublime.
This chance I'll seize
to answer the "cheese",
& hope I get those points!
(Please??!!)

I could pen a poem,
since I live in Rome,
But it's clear as a bell
I do not write well.
