The environments on Mars are similar to those found in the Arctic and Antarctic here on Earth, with the notable exception of a breathable atmosphere. Life forms have been found in the Arctic and Antarctic. Because of having a very weak magnetic field, the surface of Mars is bombarded constantly by high-energy radiation from the sun, but life could exist below the surface. There is more and more evidence that Mars does have liquid water just below its surface in many areas, and water is thought to be a necessity for life developing. Finally there's a meteorite found on Earth that we know came from Mars, and embedded within that meteorite are what some scientists believe are definite signs of fossilized martian microbial life.

We haven't found anything so far, but there is a slim chance that life exists in liquid water deep below the surface. I think the chances that Mars evolved life in the distant past are much greater than the chances of finding any life there now.

I think it might of exsisted before life on earth. I do not believe it was actually the home of life form, I believe visitors from another unknown planet have traveled the galaxy and they left their mark there. As far, as finding evidence that some life form actually lived there, I don't think that will happen. I believe that when we do find something, it will not be in any or our nine planets, I believe it will be life form much more inteligent than us. I believe, this beings have already visited earth and they are the ones that improved our genes, and that is the reason we are the humans we are today.

Absolutely zero. However, there should be plenty of life on millions of planets with similar constellations like earth has, but to far away for us to contact. Remember, we have life since 1 Billion years on earth and only a couple of years with the intelligence necessary for intergalactic communication. It would be an incredible accident of nature, that two advanced civilizations appear at the same time

I think there is a very good chance due to the recent discoveries regarding the "definition" of what life is. I think it is unlikely that we would find anything that would fit the average person's definition of life, but extremely small, smaller than single cell organisms, are a very good candidate to be found.

50/50, either there is life there or there isn't. since life can live here on earth in what was once thoguht to be inhabitable areas, unerground, the sea floor, etc etc, chances are that some form of life is there as well. most likely it isn't intelligent though.
