God I hope not. Why do politician think they can plan my health care better than I can?

I do hope so. There are 50,000,000 Americans without adequate or any health insurance coverage. Even those with coverage sometimes find that their coverage is based on pre-existing conditions and when they seek medical care they are turned away. I am NOT talking about whether health insurance is paid for through an increase in federal taxes, however if I were, the taxes we already pay would be more than adequate to pay for this kind of program. I am NOT liberal or conservative - instead I am a middle-of-the-roader who strongly believes that ALL Americans deserve healthcare insurance coverage and not a specific class only. I also believe one classshould not have better or more benefits than a poorer class. Our government was based on equality for all and our Bill of Rights reinforce this ideology, yet we have separated classes based on the factor of MONEY - who has it and who does not. Although the present administration would claw and fight to prevent universal healthcare from ever becoming a reality, this next election will tell the tale of what most hardworking and industrious people want. I am also NOT talking about immigration illegals that seem to be here to stay. If it comes down to having a choice between universal healthcare or getting control of the illegals in this country, I am for the universal healthcare option. If illegals wish to stay in this country then they must work, pay taxes and NEVER get social programs just handed to them on a gold lined plate! Big business should never be allowed to control doctors, patients and hospitals and pharmaceutical companies! America is a free choice and open society. Our freedom is based on the healthcare options we have available to all who need/want it.

Yes, universal healthcare is a good idea and the best solution to have all the sick and in need be treated well and not be rejected by discriminating medical insurance co./org or hospitals who can just kick them out because they can't pay the bills.

Look at NHS in U.K.

rather... watch that film SICKO - it's an eyeopener!

Lets hope not. Insurance should be the choice of the person and not government mandated as Hillary wants. We already have a form of universal health-care with medicaid for the poor and medicare for the old. Illegals would even get free health care if it were left up to the dems. And that is bs. This is just another way to make our great nation a nanny state.

It will be good in the way that people who currently cannot afford proper health care will be getting. Bad because it opens up more avenues of abuse. Good, it will save money on people waiting until their condition develops to the point that they need more extreme medical intervention. Bad, because a system where the benefit recipient doesn't have to worry about the costs of something can hinder access and increase costs.

All in all, as a health care provider myself, I see way too many people that I can't give them the treatments they really need because they can't afford it, so instead they go for the bare minimum, (in their eyes) which is never really enough. So I am in favor of some type of health care system that allows people to get what they need. I believe the abuses will be minimal and the benefits will far outweigh the costs.

This is one of my personal goals as an Inventor of a renewable energy source. Not only will it allow America to ween herself off of foreign energy, but the financial proceedes from this energy source will be directed to setup a nationwide insurance plan that covers the poor, handicapped, senior citizens and others that can not afford health insurance or those that are disqualified from medical insurance due to pre-existing medical conditions.

I also want it to fully support the nations 100 Clubs, that take care of fallen police officers families, not only in providing a steady income for the families, but also covers all the educational benefits for the children of these fallen officers.

i do not seek wealth from any of my energy ideas or new products, I seek only to try and improve the quality of life for every single American Citizen living in the United States of America.

Thank you,

I understand why people are yearning for it - healthcare keeps getting more expensive. But the cure would be worse than the disease; socialized healthcare means LESS healthcare in every country where it has been implemented, notably Canada.

Available healthcare will probably be realistic in a few years, but not in it's present form and not as coverage paid for by the government.

I sure hope not! We're becoming more Socialistic all the time. FDR would turn over in his grave if he knew how Social security and welfare has changed over the years. Socialized healthcare will do nothing but add to that problem.

I used to be insured by Kaiser, a HMO

When I needed to see a doctor, I went in, showed them my health card, payed my $10 and saw the doctor.

I had no paper work after, no insurance forms, no slow pay that could affect my credit rating, no nothing. Worry free.

When I got hurt, I went to a kaiser hospital. I payed $10 and $20 for the ambulance. That $10 covered multiple doctors office visits. No paper work, not a T to cross or an I to dot.

When I needed medication, I went to their pharmacy and paid $6 per prescription. No paper work.

I liked their kind of universal health care.

Hillary has talked to the director of Kaiser to help her put together a universal plan. I think she's on to something

What I can't figure out, is all the people who are against universal health care seem to want an endless mill of paper work and slow pay. Of those, many seem to support the war, that same war that would pay for universal health care. Yet our war is paying for their universal health care........WTF??

================
There are obviously people who really like paper work, denials, slow pay, screwing up their credit because of it --------- those people, when universal health care comes, please opt out for something else and let them sort you out. Like they have done for years.

Peace

Jim

After that then what? Universal home ownership? Universal grocery coverage? How about free cars? laptop computers for the children? Where does it end once we open pandora's box?
