I'm tired of Tyra putting those girls down for deciding that modeling or the pressure of the show isn't for them. When we're in our early 20's we don't always know what we want. So we get out there and try it and then decide it isn't for us, so we leave. I don't understand why she had to tell Ebony that she thinks a quitter is the most unattractive thing in the world. Ebony wasn't happy, so what she is supposed to stay & be unhappy to make Tyra happy? I think it was good that she found out modeling wasn't for her. Yeah, she had to do it on national tv but sometimes you have to do what is best for you & I think Ebony did what was best for her.

I think we all know that reality TV isn't all that real, and it is very scripted. That's not the point, I think that Tyra has taken it upon herself to be a role model for young women and girls. I like Tyra but I think she gives bad advice. I would listen to her all day long about the modeling industry, I think she knows what she is talking about, but I would never take her advice about anything else in life. I think that was in poor judgement to tell her how unattractive a quitter is.

I thought Tyra was really harsh to Ebony too. I thought she should have applauded Ebony for being honest about what she felt and coming to what had to be a really tough decision. Instead, she had to be mean about it. I pretty much can't stand Tyra these days.

I love Ebony and was really sad she decided to quit. But I feel it was a fair decision if that's what she wanted to do. Obviously she was distressed and missed her family. I think at least she was honest and didn't just carry on when she knew Ambreal wanted it and she no longer wanted to be there.
It was a big shock though. She's now the 2nd contestant to ever quit the show.
I do think Tyra did come across a little harsh but I think at least she gave her a chance to explain and heard her out. It just all came so quickly. I think probably more did happen but it was heavily edited. I thought for a while it must've been staged because Tyra didn't really seem phased at all but looking back I'm sure it was genuine because everyone looked so shocked and Ebony really did seem in pieces.
Thought it was a bit bad taste of Tyra to show Ebony's audition tape at the end because she'd never done that to a girl before and I'm sure there have been girls who have pissed Tyra off more than that. It wasn't like Ebony didn't really appreciate or learn anything from the experience. Just goes to show it's not for everyone.
I really respect Ebony's decision though. Was very brave of her, in my opinion. Hopefully she does well. Maybe she'll eventually go back to modelling after the show has ended.

Well, here's my opinion............

Personally, I think that everything that we see on reality shows are scripted and phony. Do you guys not think that Tyra watched the tape of Ebony saying that she just wanted Tyra to send her home, and that she didnt want to be there? Tyra is nosey as hell, and wants to be informed about everything that goes on. I am positive that she saw that tape and did that on purpose. She knew that Ebony wouldn't accept the offer to stay, that's why she chose to keep her instead of Ambreal. Its all about the ratings. No one can make me believe that Tyra didnt watch all the stuff that Ebony was saying about wishing that she went home. I could tell that something was strange just about the way Tyra said Ebony's name as she held her picture out. She said it like she knew that she wouldnt accept. Trust me guys, all these shows are scripted. For all we know, Ebony could have came to them before eliminations and said that she wanted to go. But they probably told her to just wait until Tyra handed her the picture, and then say that she couldnt accept it.

So, I really cant make a judgement about the way Tyra handled her about it, because I dont believe that they way we saw it, was the way it really went down.

Again, just my OPINION!

I may be cynical, but all the "controversy" on reality TV shows is even more scripted than pro wrestling. Ebony now will go on the talk circuit and just may parlay this into a little more than 15 minutes of fame, with Tyra getting a needed ratings boost from the drama.....a win-win situation.

I think it was a good choice. Tyra shouldn't pressure people to model. I mean, there's bound to be SOMEONE on America's Next Top Model that's gonna win. Telling Ebony she's a quitter isn't going to keep Ebony from quitting. Everyone's trying to find out what's right for them, and they shouldn't conform their expectations and happiness to someone else's beliefs and wishes.

I love Tyra, dont get me wrong. But OMG she NEEDS to give these girls some slack. I agree with you 100 percent these girls are in there 20's Tyra need to notice that... Ebony was very beautiful and kicked but in some challenges.. And yes it was best for her, Tyra didn't have to make a big stink about it.

**She left because she was tired of being in the bottom two, but she wouldn't listen to the judges when they were telling her what to work on to make her better. I'm glad she left. She wouldn't have won any way cause she wasn't pretty enough. I wish her well. And I do agree that Tyra was out of line for what she said to Ebony. I hope Lisa or Saleisha wins!!!!!**

Ebony took the spot that another girl who was serious about modeling could have had. I agree that it was better for her to admit it wasn't for her early on, but I can completely understand the frustration of everyone who puts effort into the show in order to find a woman who is serious about modeling. Personally I didn't like her anyway, so no big loss there.

I think if Ebony felt uncomfortable being there, she had every right to bow out - she was being honest and I give her credit.

Tyra has become too powerful in her position - she is famous, rich, and knows the in's and out's of the industry - these girls don't and it's OK. She needs to back down a bit.

I dont think tyra put her down, but in her interview tape she begged for a shot on the show. she was given the chance and she took another girls place (potentially). she shouldnt have been so smug sbout quitting. i do not agree with tyras bully tactic though. its good she realizd it wasnt her dream, but i am also thinking maybe she just doesnt like authority either.
