I always thought I should have a say so, its not like picking out a cd, but I guess hes buying it.

I might go browsing with her one day to get ideas for christmas or something, and if she gravitates towards something in particular then i might go back later on and get it or maybe a step up from that.
But as for taking her with me to get one for her...no I would not take her along to choose one. I feel that it is better to have the ring (already) when you propose.

No I didn't. I picked it out for her. I feel it should be a reflection of how you feel about the one you are going to be your wife.

i never thought about her picking it out, I just assumed it was up to me because i was the one asking her. she didnt have a clue i was going to ask, so she couldnt have picked it out.

NO because she will see something that's "so cute, oh my it's so beautiful" but on the tag it says $9.000. I mean if i was rich, no problem, so i guess it depends on you financial status.
