He's a good actor...I thought he was great in "Chaplin", and I thought he fit his role in "Zodiak" recently. I'm having a hard time convincing myself that he's the right guy for Iron Man though. I'll save my criticism until after I see it...but I've got a feeling that he was miscast in this one.

Fyi, I can't view your link b/c youtube is blocked on the PC that I'm using. However, I supposed that your link may be for the "Iron Man" movie (based on the Marvel Comics character). I like Downey in movies like "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (which was ARGUABLY an action movie to some extent), but I don' t think that he is macho enough for something like "Iron Man" (unless "Iron Man" is played for laughs). The producers should have gotten Bruce Campbell to play Iron Man, he resembles alter ego Tony Stark (of course, Campbell isn't nearly as big a name as Downey).

After all that he has done in the past I really can't see him as a lead in a movie anymore....especially in an action movie. I do not believe the movies will sell.

I think the role fits him perfectly, like Tony Stark he's a huge d***k, alcoholic, egotistical, playboy, and eccentric. Although he might not look as much of a think tank Stark is, I think is the best casting since Bale's Batman.

I think of as action and superhero as different genres. None the less It's good casting.

I can't see the link..but if you're talking about him in the Ironman movie..I think it's a bad choice of casting.

I think he looks ok as an action star. That is certainly "redefining" his image.
