Because they might have said an opinion that people agreed with, and whether or not some other people dont agree it doesnt matter, because you can't take stars away from a question you dont agree with. I also see alot of crap jokes that some people give stars, probably bacause they have got a crap sense of humour.
Its kind of ironice that in asking this question youve generated a record number of stars. Well done.

I suspect that many of the "featured" questions are picked by Yahoo from Universities and other major institutions, and the people who reply are from those same institutions. That's why you'll probably never get one of your own questions featured even if you get lots of replies and stars.

Each of us are entitled to an opinion. I have come across questions that, I didn't think was "good" as well. But, it depends on what interests a person, if we can relate to the question or, it can be due to our life experiences/knowledge. Human nature kicks in. Just an opinion.
