I was a size 7 for many years and went up to a 12 in my 40's then 14-16 in my 50's...and yes, I had every size known to man in my closet! lol....Now I have leveled out at 12/14 and have only that one range. I just decided I was no longer keeping the smaller sizes NOR the larger ones and that gives me incentive to stay the size I now am.

I have the standard PMS wardrobe, but I gave up my 12s for my 14s a little while ago...there was no problem with the hope theory, but there came a time when realism had to rear its head. I have never been small, I wore a 10/12 in high school. My son's now 7 and I have been a 14 ever since him. I came to the conclusion that adulthood gave me more curves and molded me into something else. I gave my other wardrobe to the Salvation Army; they give it to families in need and recycle the items that they cannot sell in the store. Maybe you should consider that-that size 8 was a girl, now this gorgeous size 18 is a woman and she sooo doesn't need a "skinny" wardrobe!!
Good luck, hon!

I have a never ending weight battle due to extremely slow metabolism (yeah, I've been checked, it's not medically explainable). In my early 20's, I gained a lot of weight. By the time I was 26, I decided it was out of hand and spent a year losing 100 pounds. When I was done, I threw out all my fat clothes except my favorite pair of jeans that were the largest size I ever wore... I guess for comparison's sake.
After I got married, I slowly started to gain weight again, and now after several years guess what... those stupid fat jeans fit again. I kept all my 'thin' clothes until Hurricane Katrina when I gave them away, so now that I'm back on the diet bandwagon (I'm inching up on having lost 20 pounds so far... yay me!) I'll get to buy all new clothes as I lose the rest of it!

Boy do I ever understand this question. Seems like I lose 5 pounds and gain 20. I went from size 8 to size 20 and I would have to eat more to lose weight if that makes sense. It is just another vicious cycle to have to deal with. I gave away all my small clothes finally.

Oh yes or yes oh yes! My closets are stuffed with different sizes, from sizes 8 to 14 Sometimes I lose weight and the fat clothes don't fit, sometimes I gain it, so I have lots and lots of sizes thtat creates "overflow". that creates the mess. I should clean out my closets, but.....whatever I give away will be just what I need one day (or so I think).

Yea. I have some size 34 pants that I fit into in the sommer time, but im a size 36. If you have different sizes in your closet..it means you have been progressively gaining weight. Which isnt good for your health. I suggest you get down to size 12.Then work your way lower. Good Luck

I used to ( I was forever dieting and gaining) but not anymore. Although I keep sweats, etc. if I feel heavier on a particular day, if it doesn't fit me when I put it on, it out of here. I've learned even if I'm the same weight, things don't fit the same way they did as when I was younger. Everything just isn't where it used to be. lol

Yup...my closet is also full of "fat and thin", and everything in between! In fact, I'm even using the closets in the spare bedrooms now. I really need to stop fooling myself about the smallest sizes and admit that they need to go...getting back into just ain't gonna happen!
