I decided on Wednesday that enough was enough and I wasn't going to come back. It lasted six hours and then I was clamming to get back on.

I've never actually tried to - but I have been in a position where I've found myself with no access to the internet. After about 3 weeks away from the Internet, I found I no longer wanted to go onto Yahoo Answers any way, and instead wanted to look things up from good old books!

Then, when I came back online, I found that I was reluctant at first to use Yahoo Answers! again, partly because I knew what an effect it has on me but also because I'd adjusted to life in the world without the Internet.

My advice is: Just be content with what you have at the moment. You might not always have access to the internet even if you're on the best broadband package money can buy at the moment.

Yes, it doesn't last long does it. Even when I plan a night out it gets cancelled and I end up back here instead.

I stayed away for a few months because there were a few individuals on here that were just abusive all the time and I was being violated for no reason - lol I have come back and it seems things haven't changed that much - but hey I love it and the good people on here make it worth while

I've had about three weeks off before, but just because I got a bit bored with it and fed up with the violations. I take a few days or a week away every now and then.

Periodically I visit my mother, who lives in a technology free area of Derbyshire, where possession of a wap enabled phone would get you burned for witchcraft, so I am forced to go cold turkey for up to a week at a time, I'm sure it does me good!
