For me, Green is:
Nature - Flora lives through the intense concentration of chlorophyll, which is the blood of plants. Fauna, the exotic beauty of the diminutive frog, the countless creatures of the seas or the beauty of the feathers of the birds from the tiny parakeet to the macaw;
Symbolic Energy and Myth - The gemstone, Jade, is recognized for its unique beauty and its power of mystical energies know for millenniums;
ReAwakening - The Earth's rebirth each spring is signaled by the emergence of plants, insects and animals in all varieties of green;
The Earth Mother - Even from space the Earth shows its life forces through the blues of the seas and the greens of the lands;
Passion - Found in our writings, as in 'green with envy' or music 'Jeff Beck - Love is Green', the passion of protecting the Earth -'The Green Party', or 'Greenpeace';
and Beauty - the green of eyes, the green of Jade, the green of a spring morning, the green of the African Tree Frog, the green of seas. the green of the mighty Sequoia.
Men's apparel - NEVER!!!!
Choose the one that pleases you most.
Peace,
Buzzy Smith

In central Europe, especially the Alps region, green clothing is associated with folklore clothing, a traditional lifestyle, the outdoors (as in going for a walk in the woods or up a mountain path), and hunting.
In Germany, it also used to stand for "police", because of the green police cars, and uniforms.
In Paraguay, it's simply the colour of "todo tranquilo", everything as it should be, because it means that the vegetation is getting enough water, the crop is doing well, and there is Terere in your gourd.
I associate all these things with it, but am more drawn toward the South American interpretation of it.

I think it means - "medicine", because all medical books usually have green backs. For some it means "something soothing". :)
If the color is dark-green it means "boring", - but that's for me.
