Yep! I had a crazy boss once, who would screech at me for little things, but a co-worker who she favored might do the exact same things - or worse - and she'd laugh at her for doing them. She hollered at me once in front of a customer, accusing me of messing up an order, but when I pointed out the co-workers initials on it, never got an apology. Her way of addressing it with the other worker was to say: "_____, you made a boo-boo", in a sweet sing-song tone of voice. She called a group meeting once, and in front of everyone accused me of doing something wrong - but would not tell me exactly what I had done, and I hadn't a clue. Her answer when I asked her to explain? "You know what you did, and you'd better not do it again." Mind you, this was in front of everyone, and after she left, I asked the group if they knew, and no one else did either. I calmly confronted the boss later, and said that I'd like to know what I supposedly did, and her answer was the same. Needless to say, I quit immediately, cried all the way home, but it was such a relief. To this day, several years later, I still have no clue what she was so upset with me about!

Actually my stress symptoms decreases significantly when I divorced my first husband. I was extremely physically ill and it was all stress related. My physical pain did decrease drastically when I changed jobs after 14 years.

Yes, I did. I had a boss that was cheating on her husband. It wasn't supposed to be known but I'm not stupid. I was the receptionist so every time her husband would call and she was 'at lunch' I'd go into a panic. I'd have to say she was at lunch or at the bank depending on the time. Now, like I said I wasn't supposed to know, obviously. But there was no way not to know that the 'copier' dude wasn't her boyfriend. I started to get sick at night thinking about going to work the next day. It was terrible. One day I told her that either her boyfriend called and it was her husband or that her husband called and it was her boyfriend. So whichever one I told her it was really the opposite. She came out and yelled at me saying why did I tell her it was Michael when it was Rick or whatever. Well, we had a four day weekend for thanksgiving and my a$$ never went back. I was there for 3 years, lost the reference and everything. But I had my sanity back.
