T20 will definitely kill test cricket, but saying that it will kill odi might be exaggerating things. T20 is a fast paced game where ppl wont have to sit on their butts for 7 hours/ 5 days and watch a batsman do nothing. T20 has a good chance on going in the olympics too. thus, will be gain a popularity as an international sport.
looking at things right now. Test is the least liked than ODI and it looks like we have a more likeable form of cricket T20.

Yes, it will. When the one-day games were started in the first world cup, it was a 60 overs an innings and it continued to be so till the third world cup which India won. Thereafter, it became a 50-50. After the advent of 50-50, the concept of 60 overs an innings died even in England. So, the 20-20 is sure to kill 50-50, but it may be a slow killer. 50-50 will be phased out. A thought not so palatable to the Kangaroos.

I think that Twenty Twenty will kill ODI's and even tests.
Although I may say that First test matches would be killed by T20.

Then eventually as T20 reaches its peak, it will kill the ODI Cricket.

Because T20 is more fascinating and entertaining Game. As t20 is very short, it becomes more tense and interesting. This will make people become more neglected towards Tests, and then eventually ODI's will become boring.

no.
B'coz ODI never killed test format.
Twenty20 is different from ODI, ODI is for between teams and T20 is for mass crowds.
Even though after the T20 event, ODIs are still getting full-house esp if India is playing or atleast 50% audience for any other match.

In course of time, T20 will emerge as most popular game than ODI because it is exciting and entertaining and there is no dull moment throughout the match.

Yes it will but not in the near future. Because It gives result in 3 hours but the one dayers takes long time.

For the same reason, ODIs killed test cricket.

nicely you being English ought to understand besides as everybody if t20 cricket change into dropping its charm in England, yet over the following in South Africa it continues to be starting to be its huge the following and folk genuinely like it it really is why the IPL had such large help each and every recreation even week days, everywhere you went human beings were speaking about it, gathering round large reflects in public places to observe slightly the action even if or not they be in a mall procuring or a on-line casino. you need to imagine with the quantity of 20 20 matches by now it should be in overkill, yet I fairly do not imagine so human beings like being waiting to spend a short time gazing a experience getting an exhilarating recreation in countless 20 20 video games severe scoring or no longer were spectacular video games coming down the spectacular ball preserving visitors glued or maybe as it transfers to international aspect next month the position the intensity will be even larger i'm effective a lot of folk are waiting for it to commence like me. i imagine in 5 years the IPL will be well-known by then it really is going to likely be fairly diverse participant's have adapted to the shortest version of the game by then they could have advanced their play even further making no longer attainable circumstances now look very probable then and on condition that the target audience embraces the transformations it really is going to carry reliable in its appreciation of the game's t20 format.

It sure looks like. T20 is here to stay.

Its actually less tedious , in 3 hours the match is decided and you don't need to wait for an eternity to see the result & waste a whole lot of time for an additional 60 overs for the game to get over.

But .... if you ask me , its only a display of " SLOG POWER " ...it is not cricket in its purest form.

no it will not kill ODI. becuse 20/20 is for those players who play fast. They play for fun. But ODI, you have to play serious becuse it counts. The ODI games will go to your record and stats. ODI is more importent and fun. 20twenty is fun to watch becuse all you see is sixes.!!!! Nice Question!!!!
