No minority gets a lot of votes. It's not just black people. It's women, Jewish etc. It is simply because people feel a candidate like themselves will represent their issues. And the majority are white males. Sadly.

Percentages of blacks being elected in lower level politics. If half the Congressmen and governors were black, we could expect half the presidential candidates, and subsequently, half the presidents to be black. But how many blacks are in politics, as a percentage? Some, yes, but the percentage is very small. You have to work your way up in earning voter confidence in your political skills. To do that, you have to gain some support in something, like becoming mayor or state legislator, then a governor or congressman of one of the two major parties. H. Ross Perot tried becoming president the hard way and failed, not because he was black. He was and still is white, but he failed because he did not win a Republican or Democrat nomination because he had no political experience to go along with his business sense. Even Reagan the actor and Carter the peanut farmer were governors first. Barack Obama is one of the few black American congressmen. He has some required big government experience and is therefore a viable candidate for president. Jesse Jackson Jr. has a better chance of ever becoming president than his father mosty because Jr. is a Congressman. The father's remarks against the Jews did not help him either the same way David Duke's Klan background, even with his political experience, kept him from becoming president when he ran.

Its coming. Its just the people with control have not found one that will do as they say, like white people do. Blacks will tend to want all the goods coming in that will be a sad day in America, hope I never see it

If Hillary gets booted out of the pole position, Obama has a real chance of winning. The racists in America won't vote for him but who cares about them as they would vote for Hitler if they had a chance.

Obama may be the first black vice president if Hillary were to win the primaries.

Obama is black, running for president, and he is not the candidate that most blacks support. They are mainly supporting Clinton, a white woman.

Jesse Jackson once ran for president. Should we all have voted for him just because he's black, to prove we're not racist? That would be retarded (answering my own question).

Usually, the blacks who run for president are very liberal. Most Americans are conservative. It is the political views, not the skin color, that voters don't accept.

The American people do not elect a person President based solely on the color of their skin. That would be insane!
