It isnt exactly going to 'slow down' your period but certain pills can definatly ease some of the symptoms,i used to have very heavy, painful periods which is why i got put on the pill and i was very young and not having sex,the differance was amazing the only thing you may have to be prepared for is that you may have to try a few differant ones before you find the right one for you.

Hi,

Ofcource you can go on the pill weather your a virgin or not.

I went on the pill when I was 15, only because I used to get the WORST period paid, it was always very heavy and very irregular.

It helped me alot and I am glad I went on it.

Does this help you at all ?

If you want to ask me anything about this, feel free.

doctors prescribe birth control pills to control acne, or to ease up the symptoms of a period. So the answer is yes, but you should always consult your ob-gyn beforehand, and get your yearly check-ups.

the combined pill would be best, it regulates and because women who on the pill don't have a proper period, it will slow it down alot.
