My Bible, because loosing your home is a great loss, and you will feel scattered, having to start all over again with your family and need an adviser to help you cope with this situation, I think I only need someone trustful and I trust Bible so I take my Bible to help my cope with the situation at hand.

I already have a box of important papers that I would need if I had to go. That, and photos. I can replace all the other stuff.

This is a hard question, when we left New Orleans we had more time to get things together.
I would have to say important papers, if I already had them with me then pictures would be next.
