During the great depression FDR rolled out the new deal, one of the Agency's was social Security. What were some of the inital thoughts of this plan. how was this not helping during the great depression.

It required that the people trust politicians with money; which we all know is a stupid thing to do. People who don't work and suck from the pockets of the working public get to count the take; how stupid is this?

Well number one it was completely unconstitutional. This was a power clearly granted to the states which was ursurped by the feds in a long line of power grabs.
