I dislike the Irish accent although they are lovely people.

I'm not going to apologise for this one ... I hate hearing the Geordie accent on TV or radio ... Oh it makes me cringe.

By the way, even though I'm a mackem, Geordie is the generic term for my accent.

Least favourite: Brum.
I once worked with a girl from Belfast and couldn't understand what she said because she talked so fast, but I love the southern Irish accent.
Btw, what is mackem?

I too hate the harshness of the Northern Irish accent, but don't mind a nice lilting Southern accent. Same with Scottish, I would marry an Edinburgh girl tomorrow, but the harsher Glasgow accent does little for me. Overall I dislike any British accent that is strong and common be that brummie, geordie, manc or even my own scouse accent. People who revel in being common and loud usually grate me.

I don't like the southern states American accent, but I think that is more down to the stereotype of the people, rather than the actual accent. It reminds me of the Spitting image song "I've never met a nice South African" there is so much I dislike about the people from below the Mason & Dixon line be it the racism, the guns and the religion. Wasn't it Kentucky that tried to ban educating people about evolution in favour of creationism? So as unfair as it may be, I run a mile from the Southern accent.

Not keen on Irish, scottish, geordie or Birmingham accents - no offence to people from these regions though!!. Not keen on the Mancunian accent either even though I'm from Manchester - some Manchester areas have more broader accents that others.

I do like Liverpool accents and London/South East Accents

Unlike you, I love a SOFT Irish accent (but not the harsh sort that, for instance, Ian Paisley has).

I don't particularly like the Birmingham, Liverpool, Geordie or the "career" Cockney accents. Even the Queen's accent at times makes her sound constipated ... and don't even get me started on the affected strains of Brian Sewell's voice!

Queen's English, American, Canadian, Australian - each so cute, like the different colors of a rainbow!

I have avoided commenting on dialectical accents, spoken in various English counties and/or US states.

New Zealanders are great too, and make for an integral part of the colors in a rainbow...

Hate the German accent. Sounds to harsh. Love Irish accents on men and women, to me they are so calming and soothing.
